We are introduced to Echo Rose as she sits in her room with a studio light shining near her face. This makes her makeup difficult to parse at times, but she is wearing a lot of it. Starting from the top, she's clearly wearing a wig. It's applied very casually, showing how the character doesn't particularly care if people can see it's not her real hair but uses it more as a fashion accessory. The wig is a brownish-pink and features long bangs swept to the side, stiff curls near the ends, and a large felt rose positioned next to her right eye. She also wears pale gold hoop earrings.
She also wears a full face of makeup. Her foundation is clearly full coverage - no natural discoloration is visible on her face, though a small blemish on her forehead can be seen in silhouette. It all looks very shiny, likely due to the lighting, but it also probably hasn't been powdered. It's a bit too rosy for her skin tone - her neck is paler. Her eyebrows are the only part of her face that seems to have been left natural - they have a wiggly, atypical shape and were likely only lightly filled in to counteract any foundation getting caught in the hairs. Her eye makeup is very intense - beautiful shiny purple eyeshadow covering the lid, thick black liquid eyeliner ending in a cat's eye on the upper eyelid, and thick mascara on both sets of lashes, which has caused minor greyness on her lower lids. Her blush is a reddish pink and is applied all down her cheeks and on her chin, with no noticeable contouring. Her lipstick is a pinkish-red with shiny lip gloss.
Her nails look natural and are painted purpley-red. She also has a very detailed MOM tattoo on her shoulder, which features a red heart and grey swirls.
Her look in her second video is mostly the same, but at the very end, she pulls her wig off. Her hair underneath hasn't been put in pincurls or pulled into a wig cap, so it's immediately visible. Her natural hair is black, curly, and very short, probably around 4 or 5 inches long from her scalp. Since she was just wearing a wig over it, her hair is messy, a bit sweaty, and lightly pressed to her head.
In this video, Echo Rose is shown in natural light rather than studio light, so she's much less shiny (though it also seems like she's powdered her face this time). From the top, she wears a new wig - it's in a similar style, but the color is a pale bubblegum pink and, according to her, slightly longer than the last. Wisps of her real hair are visible, especially when she moves. She wears a white kerchief with a cherry pattern like a headband on the wig, ending in a bunny-ears tie on top of her head. This time, her hoop earrings are silver.
Her makeup is done in the same style as last time, but in different colors. Her eyeshadow is a sparkly light pink and her lipstick is a hot pink shimmer, while her blush, liner, and mascara are the same. Her foundation looks like a lower coverage this time, since light blemishes are visible on her face (especially around her chin and the corners of her mouth).
Occasionally, she wears sunglasses! These are mostly opaque, red, and are shaped like hearts.
This episode has several makeup and hair looks, so I've split this into parts.
Echo goes through her morning routine in this video. In this first look, she's just out of the shower and is doing her skincare routine. Her hair is wrapped up in a towel with two bobby pins securing it on the top right, completely out of sight. She wears no makeup here, save for some light discoloration around the eyes from leftover mascara. After a moment, she applies a blue sheet mask.
In this second look, Echo still isn't wearing any makeup, but her hair is visible this time. It's still a bit wet, but it's not pressed down the way it was in the second video, and it curls around her head in a free, kind of spiky way. In another shot, her hair is slicked back from her forehead as she curls her lashes.
This is Echo's fully made-up look. Here, she's wearing a platinum blonde wig that falls in looser curls. Once again, the bangs are swept to the side and long. On top, she wears a flower crown of pink roses. Her face is VERY rosy in comparison and done in her usual style - though this time, she wears no eyeshadow and she's applied some blush to her nose. Her lips are a matte natural pink, but definitely painted.
Here, Echo is no longer wearing her wig or lipstick (which has likely rubbed off since she's been eating pickles). Her hair is once again obscured, this time because she's pulled her hoodie's hood tight around her face. Occasionally, she wears the same red sunglasses from last episode.
Overall, Echo Rose is unafraid to show her face in its natural state, but clearly prefers very intense makeup looks and enjoys a variety of wigs. I think this conveys the confident flamboyance of her character and harkens back to the idea of a city-dwelling fortune teller. This look also makes her stand out against the small-town area she's residing in, and she frequently comments that people are staring at her. Echo is extremely confident, very creative, and can be aggressive, and I think her makeup looks really sell that.
